"The dilemma they were faced with - whether to let their sons live or die . . . was just beyond Shakespearean drama." Terry George speaking about his acclaimed film Some Mother's Son, a semi-fictionalized account of the 1981 hunger strikes in Belfast. Mr. George was present at a special ceremony honoring the film's star Fionnula Flangan. Some Mother's Son marked his directorial debut. His writing credits include In the Name of the Father and The Boxer, both directed by Jim Sheridan. He wrote and directed the acclaimed drama Hotel Rwanda and is currently directing Reservation Road, a thriller starring Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo.
